The Medcy Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Embryology (MIRME) offers a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine (FRM) aimed at training obstetricians and gynecologists in the field of reproductive medicine using evidence-based guidelines and programs. With the rising prevalence of infertility worldwide, there is an increasing demand for professionals who are well-trained in providing high-quality, evidence-based treatments to patients. The one-year, full-time program will be conducted by a multidisciplinary team of experts, including obstetricians, gynecologists, andrologists, fertility specialists, and embryologists, with a combined experience of over 100 years. The fellowship covers essential topics such as reproductive physiology, endocrinology, genetics, medical and surgical treatments for infertility, and assisted reproductive technologies.
Objectives of the Course
- Acquire competence in the evaluation and work-up of patients with fertility problems
- Develop the ability to formulate effective management strategies for patients with subfertility
- Gain hands-on experience and proficiency in performing intrauterine insemination (IUI)
- Attain in-depth understanding of ovarian stimulation protocols
- Learn the preventive measures, diagnosis, and management of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)
- Assist in ovum pick-up (OPU) procedures and in conducting fresh and frozen embryo transfers (ETs)
- Observe essential laboratory procedures in the IVF lab, including semen preparation for IUI, IVF, and ICSI
- Acquire competence in managing donor egg and donor sperm programs
- Understand the procedures involved in sperm and embryo cryopreservation and thawing
- Understand ART act amendment

- Eligibility: MD/MS in Gynac and Obs/MRCOG/DGO with three years of experience

Teaching Scheme
The program places a strong emphasis on hands-on clinical training, providing opportunities for in-depth discussion of advanced surgical and clinical techniques. To ensure comprehensive knowledge, the theoretical component will cover key areas including infertility, endocrinology, embryology, and andrology. Each fellow will receive a training plan and a week-wise syllabus tailored to their learning needs. Additionally, fellows will actively participate in academic activities, including leading journal club presentations, to reinforce evidence-based learning.
